This function of the popular new website editor allows you to effortlessly share events, assignments and other important dates with the world. The Calendar feature is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy for even the most inexperienced, novice web designer. No HTML or special coding skills are needed. In order to fit the style you are seeking, there are numerous available templates that can be used for the creation of your calendar. These templates can then be fully modified to your exact needs and specifications.

How to use the Calendar Add-on

When editing an HTML page, you can click on "My Add-ons" tab to open the list of add-ons available. When the Calendar Add-On is opened, a list of existing calendars will populate in the menu. If you wish to use one of these calendars, simply click “Insert to Page” beside the desired calendar. You also have the options to edit and preview these existing calendars.

In order to create a new calendar, simply name it in the field under “Create New Calendar Add-On” and click “Continue.” On the next screen you will be prompted to select from the available templates. You can preview these templates before choosing them and once you have made your choice, click “Select This Template.”

This will bring you to the customization menu where you can choose the size and color theme of your calendar from the “Presets” drop-down menu as well as the calendar’s width and height.

Under the “Backgrounds” menu, you have the option to alter the colors of each element of your calendar including the month, weekdays, regular days, event days, etc. Under “Font Style” you can tailor the font details used for month, weekday, day and today including the actual font used, its size, color and you can even designate the month to change colors when the mouse rolls over it.

When you click on “Borders” you can modify the borders and their properties. You can alter the size and color of the borders around the entire calendar itself as well as the specific days. Furthermore, you can customize the “Events Popup” windows by clicking on this menu, which allows total control of the colors of each and every element of the window that pops up for each event. You can change the colors and size of all text, borders and backgrounds as well as font details. When an event is created and the calendar is published to your web page, when the mouse scrolls over a date has a corresponding event, a pop-up window with all event details will open.

By clicking on the “Event Manager” tab, you can create and modify events for inclusion in your calendar. Here you can view all events including ones that have already occurred.

In order to create an event to place on your calendar, click “Add new event.” A pop-up will appear for you you to enter all the details for your event including date, time, place, description and even a URL to link to the event website or to a page with more information.

After adding all events to your calendar, it is time to publish to your web page. Keep in mind that you can return at any time to add additional events. Click on the “Publish” tab in order to see the available options. First, you can quickly and easily publish your calendar to the page you are currently editing by simply clicking “Insert To Page.”

Beneath this button you will see a field with the HTML embed code for your calendar. You can copy and paste this code in order to embed this calendar into any web page. Additionally, a direct URL to your calendar is generated so that you can share it with others via email, etc. When this URL is entered into a web browser, the user will see the ticker you have created.
